Fix course access issues after migrating to Systeme.io
β οΈ The Problem
After migrating your courses and contacts to Systeme.io, your contacts are properly tagged but cannot access their courses. This happens because tags alone don't grant course access - they're just for organization.
π‘ The Solution
You need to create workflows that automatically grant course access when specific tags are applied. Since your contacts are already tagged, we'll use a temporary workflow to grant access to existing members.
π§ Part 1: Create Course Access Workflow
First, let's set up the automatic workflow for future course members:

Navigate to Workflows
Go to your Systeme.io dashboard and click on Workflows in the main menu.

Create New Workflow
Click Create and give your workflow a descriptive name like "Course Name Access Workflow".

Set the Trigger
Choose "Add Tag" as your trigger and select the tag name that corresponds to your course (the one your existing members already have).

Set the Action
Choose the action to grant access to your specific course. Make sure your course is set to "Live" status before proceeding.

Save and Activate
Save the workflow, then activate it. You'll see a green icon when it's successfully activated.
π Part 2: Grant Access to Existing Members
Since your members are already tagged, we need a temporary workflow to grant them access:

Create Temporary Tag
Go to Tags and create a new tag. Name it something like "Temp Course Workflow" or "Temporary Course Access".

Create Temporary Workflow
Go back to Workflows and create a new workflow. Set the trigger as your temporary tag and the action as granting access to your course.

Activate Temporary Workflow
Save and activate this temporary workflow. Make sure you see the green activation icon.

Apply Tag to Existing Members
Go to Contacts, filter by your course tag, select all members, then use "More Actions" β "Add Tag" to apply the temporary tag. This will instantly grant them course access.

Clean Up
Once everyone has access, you can safely delete the temporary tag and temporary workflow. This won't affect the course access that was already granted.
π Success! Your existing members now have course access, and new members will automatically get access when tagged in the future.
